The Project
My three homies and I drove our motorcycles from Ohio to Colorado, and embarked on a 5-day motorcycle trip through Colorado, Utah, and Arizona. One of my friends was set to have twin girls months after we returned, I had just lost my Grandma, and the friend that initiated the trip had just returned from his 5th tour of duty in the middle east.
I believe wholly that these trips are worth more for your career as a problem solver and leader than months of professional training. We had bikes break down in the middle of nowhere (three times), we had to find camping spots that would add to the trip, and we had to dodge snowstorms and sun setting before we were anywhere near our final destinations.

The Video
Hoo boy .... after 12 years, I'll call this the video that made me realize I should learn a bit more about action video. When me and a couple of these guys were growing up, we roamed the streets inline skating and skateboarding, and I was the video guy. I learned pretty quickly that filing with a VHS-C camcorder on your skates or snowboard is quite a lot different than filming on a motorcycle.
It still captured the amazing, unforgettable adventure we shared together. But this one didn't cause me to start contacting designers about what I was gonna wear to the Academy Awards.
